Micro-Hybrid Electronics Expands Presence into United States at the University of Arizona Tech Park

Micro-Hybrid Electronic GmbH, an international innovator in microelectronics and infrared sensors, announced its expansion to the University of Arizona (UA) Tech Park, establishing a new United States application center bringing new investment into the region. As part of the company’s growth strategy, it was imperative to expand into North America and leveraged the University of Arizona’s assets through state-of-the-art facilities at the UA Tech Park and the Soft Landings Global Advantage program at the University of Arizona Center for Innovation to propel successful market entry in the United States.  

Micro-Hybrid Electronics is one of the technology leaders in the field of electronic microsystems and infrared measurement technology with five other locations worldwide. Founded in 1992 in Germany, the business creates do we need high precision sensors and components through fine-tuning development of technologies and materials, which have application in a wide range of industries.  

Tucson, Arizona serves as a strategic expansion location for the business, as the region is renowned for its concentration of optical and electronic technology companies, which offers a unique ecosystem that aligns seamlessly with Micro-Hybrid Electronics’ mission to push the boundaries of electronics. Tucson, often referred to as “Optics Valley” is fueled by research, talent and expertise of the University of Arizona, a Tier One research university. The launch of the application center will help bridge the gap between US customers and the global application center in Germany by offering competent technical consulting in the US in order to provide customized solutions.
