UACI is headquartered at UA Tech Park, one of the nation's premier research parks. This major employment hub is a dynamic, interactive community where approximately 6,000 innovators and business leaders meet, and where over 65 emerging companies and technology giants work side by side. Located in one of Arizona’s fast-growing suburban settings on Tucson’s southeast side at Rita Road, the Park’s spacious campus encompasses 1,282 acres and has 2 million square feet of space for high-tech offices, R&D and laboratory facilities.
The UACI spaces at the UA Tech Park span over 20,000 square feet. and include collaboration areas, office space, conference rooms, wet labs, dry labs and a prototyping lab. As a part of the program, UACI startups have access to all common spaces with the option to lease a private office, wet lab bench or dry lab for an additional fee.
UACI offers Biosafety Level 2, GLP-qualified laboratory facilities. The lab standards and equipment are at the highest caliber for research. Innovators can “rent-a-bench” to build their business using UACI equipment, lab space, and research documentation templates. The GLP designation is required for conducting nonclinical laboratory studies that support applications for research or products regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.
