UACI Hosts Canadian Startups through Global Advantage Soft Landings Program

The University of Arizona Center for Innovation (UACI) welcomes two Canadian Startups to its Global Advantage Soft-Landings program.

Ecobloc, which is based in Portugal Cove - St. Phillip's, Newfoundland, Canada, is a complete rodent audio defense solution which uses ultrasonic sound waves that create an acoustically hostile environment to repel rodents.

Longan Vision which is based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, focuses on developing smart products to improve work experience and efficiency for first responders.

UACI is providing a "soft landing" which means the international businesses have the necessary accommodations to experience smooth entry into the United States. UACI is working with the businesses to introduce them to local governmental officials that explain the business regulations, the resources and tools available through the University of Arizona, and of course the best food available in the UNESCO City of Gastronomy. The exploratory business mission is part of UACI's established international program that supports early-stage companies, called Global Advantage. This program utilizes it's strategic location in Tucson, Arizona paired with relatively low business startup costs and highly accessible major market connections to the west and east coasts.
